The future of building AI agents in Elasticsearch: Agent Builder

AI agents powered by large language models (LLMs), while potent in generative tasks, inherently lack contextual grounding. Elastic anchors these agents in relevant data, making them more reliable, accurate, and trusted. This talk will look at how to compose AI agents using native Elastic tools like semantic search, hybrid search, and ES|QL to create an intelligent query layer exposed through Model Context Protocol (MCP). We'll also explore best practices for developing search agent prompts and discuss approaches for evaluation of search agents in comparison to traditional search-based metrics.
